British Airways to provide no-cost high-speed in-flight connectivity by way of Starlink deal

Travelers flying with the airline are set to access quick internet in the air without charge following a major partnership from SpaceX's space firm.

British Airways stated that the no-cost, “quick and reliable” wifi service through the satellite provider will be available for travelers flying coach, business, or premium cabins from soon.

The holding company of BA, the airline group, announced it had finalized an deal with the satellite firm to provide connectivity coverage for over 500 planes within the group's operators, including the Irish airline, the Spanish carrier, and the low-cost airline.

The airline explained that the introduction of the system was included in a £7bn “modernization” plan that will deliver lag-free wifi coverage to passengers starting at the gate to landing, including when in flight over oceans or isolated areas.
